Lu Bo Presents NUS Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy Launch Ceremony

The Centre for Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy (CSEP) at NUS Business School was officially launched on August 28, 2009. At the invitation of Albert Teo, the dean of CSEP, Mr Lu Bo, Managing Director of World Future Foundation, was present at the event and was received by Professor Tan Chorh Chuan, NUS President. The centre aims to heighten interest in the area of Social Entrepreneurship & Philanthropy among its student population, and other Singaporeans. At the launch ceremony, CSEP received a donation of S$1.5 million from the Mrs Lee Choon Guan Trust Fund.

CSEP has been doing its research work for about a year, and has been building up various programs under its umbrella within the past year. Two current research projects are to look at trends in philanthropy and to look at how religion and social networks affect volunteer work.
